- He was killed in an auto accident about 12:05 a.m. when the driver of the automobile in which he was riding crashed into guard rails and a telephone pole on Rochester Road, near Nineteen Mile Road, in Troy township, Michigan. The car mowed down a number of guard rail posts near the Syulvan Glen golf course, careened 318 ft, and struck the telephone pole with terrific force. The driver of the automobile was named Sedgwick Randall, age 26, of 1127 Rosewood Avenenu, Ferndale, MI. He suffered severe lacerations of the face and scalp but lived.
