He was killed in an auto accident about 12:05 a.m. when the driver of the automobile in which he was riding crashed into guard rails and a telephone pole on Rochester Road, near Nineteen Mile Road, in Troy township, Michigan. The car mowed down a number of guard rail posts near the Syulvan Glen golf course, careened 318 ft, and struck the telephone pole with terrific force. The driver of the automobile was named Sedgwick Randall, age 26, of 1127 Rosewood Avenenu, Ferndale, MI. He suffered severe lacerations of the face and scalp but lived. Source: unmamed newpaper article on the day of the accident. No date on article.

Wilma walked around the top of the silo and fell. Other children thought she was dead, and told her father that she was. She broke her collar bone and mended.

After her parents divorce, Wilma and her father moved back to their old house on Pinehurst in northwest Detroit.

"Mrs. Wilma Constance Meyers, 27, of 395 East Fourth Street, San Bernardino, remained in serious condition yesterday at the County hospital where she is being treated for head injuries suffered in a three-car accident at Sixth Street and Arrowhead Avenue at 11:30 A.M. yesterday.

San Bernardino Police said that Mrs. Meyers' car was struck broadside in the center of the intersection by a car driven by Mrs. Ruth Ellen Dalton, 41, of 307 Eighteenth Street, San Bernardino, who was traveling south on Arrowhead Avenue. Mrs. Meyers was traveling west on Sixth.

Mrs. Meyers was thrown from her car onto the pavement when the impact spun her car into a police car which had stopped on Sixth Street at Arrowhead Avenue. "

"Glen Meyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Meyers of the Elessandro trailer project, wandered away and was found by two soldiers after a five-hour search. A barking dog attracted attention to the boy, who was asleep in the mud of a ditch. He was unharmed."
