    Paul Lafrance died age 92. He was born in the Province of Quebec and resided there til 1878 when he moved to Manitoba. After 5 yrs he moved to Belcourt and later to Maryville Township. He was married in Quebec and fathered 14 children. 12 survived. His wife died in 1891 in Belcourt. Children: Moise, Prosper, Napoleon, Canute, Ouile, Auxile, Procule, Xavier, Emilie, Angelique, Marie Louise and Philomene. Paul had a powerful Physique, was a hardy and industrious pioneer of our country. His sight failed in his last few months. Farming was his occupation. A farmer of Grand Chantier in 1843. His funeral was held at Maryville church, buried in Maryville cemetary.
