    Wilma was only 6 years old when her parents separated. She lived with her father on a rented farm in Bloomfield, MI. Her grandfather, William Clyde Hill, lived with them. Wilma walked around the top of the silo and fell. Other children thought she was dead, and told her father that she was. She broke her collar bone and mended.

    After her parents divorce, Wilma and her father moved back to their old house on Pinehurst in northwest Detroit.

    "Mrs. Wilma Constance Meyers, 27, of 395 East Fourth Street, San Bernardino, remained in serious condition yesterday at the County hospital where she is being treated for head injuries suffered in a three-car accident at Sixth Street and Arrowhead Avenue at 11:30 A.M. yesterday.

    Glenn Meyers, Jr., 5, Mrs. Meyers' son, and Wayne Jones, Jr., 4, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jones, Sr. of 395 East Fourth Street, both boys passengers in the Meyers car, sustained minor injuries in the accident and were released after emergency treatment.

    San Bernardino Police said that Mrs. Meyers' car was struck broadside in the center of the intersection by a car driven by Mrs. Ruth Ellen Dalton, 41, of 307 Eighteenth Street, San Bernardino, who was traveling south on Arrowhead Avenue. Mrs. Meyers was traveling west on Sixth.

    Mrs. Meyers was thrown from her car onto the pavement when the impact spun her car into a police car which had stopped on Sixth Street at Arrowhead Avenue. "
